This shawl is reversible with a black crest and purple arrow-gasuri.
Yagasuri refers to the arrows given by shrines during New Year’s visits to a shrine called “Hamaya”. These arrows are meant to “remove misfortune and shoot happiness”.
Other than that, since once an arrow is shot, it never comes back.
It is a good-luck charm with the wish that it will never come back out of the marriage and that the couple will always have a happy married life.
